Congratulations on graduating from University of Strathclyde with an Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with Aeronautics with Distinction. This August Robert will take up a post with SHELL UK as a subsea engineer. (G&DTimes Volume 34 Issue 13 1/7/2011)
June 2010: I have recently completed the fourth year of my degree and am now working for Shell in Aberdeen for the summer as an intern where I am working within the Subsea Engineering department. I have been selected to take part in a departmental exchange at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan for 4 months beginning in September where I will complete my master thesis project before returning to Glasgow to complete my degree. Exciting times ahead, I just hope it all goes to plan!
I have fond memories from my DofE expeditions and the award is still something that comes up time and time again during interviews etc., without a doubt a worthwhile programme. Mountain biking sounds great, wish that had been available in my day!
